Q: Where can I find out which libraries offer photocopying, faxing and the like?

A: Please consult the Printing, Fax, Photocopying Services web page to learn which libraries are offering specific services.

Q: I returned materials. Why are they still listed on my account as being checked out?

A: If you've returned library materials, they may be in quarantine and not yet checked back in. They will be backdated when checked in, however.

Please check your library account. I(f the materials are still on your record after 5-7 days of you returning them, reach out to the library.

Q: What if my library card is set to expire?

A: All patron accounts set to expire September 2019 or later have been extended to June 30, 2020 and later.  Reach out to your home library to inquire what your new expiration date may be if your account was already expired or set to expire between September 2019-June 30, 2020. If it wasn't set to expire, your card continues to have the same end date as before.

Q: What resources can I use at home?

A: Click here to view electronic resources you can use anywhere.

Q: How can I get access to these resources if I don't have a card?

A: All Milwaukee County residents can sign up for an e-Card which provides access to resources like hoopla or OverDrive/Libby. For more information or to sign up click here.

Q: If I have lot of fines, can I still use resources like hoopla and OverDrive/Libby?

A: Yes. Member libraries are working to make more electronic resources available to you. This includes more OverDrive (Libby) e-books and e-audiobooks.

In addition, there are currently relaxed restrictions for patrons to access both OverDrive and hoopla as long as your total fines are not more than $100.
