Franklin Public Library materials with the purchase of a yearly |

fee card for $75.00. This card will allow the patron, spouse and |
| children
borrowing privileges limited only to the Franklin Public |
| Library.
Only staff assisted holds may be placed on this card. |

Loan Transactions |
|
a) The following circulates for a 21-day loan period: |
|
1. Overall collection of fiction and non-fiction |
| 2. Compact discs |
| 3. Books-on-tape/CD |
|
4. Youth CD-ROM's |
|
5. Pamphlets from the pamphlet file |
|
6. Children's kits |
| |
|
b) The following circulates for a 7-day loan period: |
|
1. Selected, heavily demanded, new fiction and non-fiction |
|
2. Periodicals |
|
3. Adult educational videos and DVDs |
|
4. All children's videos and DVDs |
| 6. Puppets |
|
7. Toys |
| |
| c) The following circulates for a 3-day loan period: |
| 1. All adult entertainment videos
and DVDs |
| |
|
If the due date for loan transactions is a holiday, the materials are due |
|
the next date the library is open. |
| |
|
Selected items from the collection may be further limited in circulation |
as illustrated below:

a) Seasonal books with heavy demand (Christmas, Easter, |
|
Halloween, etc.) |
|
b) Materials specifically requested for more limited loan |
|
periods (teacher requests, organizational designated, |
|
programs, school projects, etc.) |
|
c) Other materials not specifically covered above may have |
|
more limited loan
periods as designated by professional staff |

Overdue Fines |
| The purpose of overdue fines is to encourage patrons to return |
|
items by the due date, so they can be available to others. |
|
a) A 3-day grace period is allowed on all material except toys |
|
and 3-day loan material. Each day thereafter that the library |
|
is open, a fine, per item
will
be assessed from the |
| original date. |
|
b) Maximum fine per item is $5.00 dollars. |
|
c) Overdue fines shall not exceed the replacement cost |
|
of the item. |
