Purpose
 
The purpose of the Friends of the Hales Corners Library is to stimulate use of the Library's resources and services, and to support and cooperate with the Library in developing services and facilities for the benefit of the community.
 

 
FOL Board
 
The following members were elected to the Friends Board at the September 2004 General Membership Meeting. Officers serve through September 2005.

Membership Application
 
The membership year is January 1 to December 31. Dues and contributions are tax-deductible. Membership forms / envelopes are available at the library.

Membership Options:

  • Individual - $5
  • Family - $7.50
  • Patron - $25
  • Business - $25
  • Sponsor - $50
  • Additional donations of any amount are gladly accepted.

Annual Used Book Sale - Hunt Room, Lower Level

 

Preview Night* - Friday, April 18, 7 - 9 pm

*Preview Night is a Friends fundraiser, giving current members of the Friends of the Hales Corners Library and residents of Hales Corners (proof of address required) the opportunity for first pick of this year's books.

A Magical Storytime - Friday, April 18, 7 - 7:30 pm

Pajamas are optional at this magical storytime with Miss Susie, held in the children's area of the library.

Book Sale - Saturday, April 19, 9 am to 4 pm

$1 for hardcover and trade paperbacks. Fifty cents for small (pocket) paperbacks, children's books. Some books and sets of books will be specially priced. This is a major fundraiser for the Friends of the Library and funds will be used to support the 2008 Summer Reading Programs, "Catch the Reading Bug".

Cheap Books - Sunday, April 20, Noon to 3 pm

Books left over from Saturday's sale will be sold for $2 per paper grocery bag.

Donations Always Welcome

We appreciate receiving your generous donations of books, videos, audio books, music CDs, puzzles and children's board books which are offered for sale at our annual used book sale held in April. Pick up a list at the library of items accepted. The library accepts donations year round.
