Public Workstations
The Shorewood Library has 12 public workstations in the Adult Room and 6 public workstations in the Children's Room. Each workstation has Internet access, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The library uses SAM - Smart Access Manager - and users need a valid Milwaukee County Library Card to sign in on a computer. There is a two hour limit per day.

Wireless Internet Access
The Shorewood Public Library offers free wireless internet access inside the library. To access the Internet, you will need a notebook PC with wireless LAN capability. You can use any standard Internet-ready browser on any operating system. After launching your browser, if you do not see the welcome page, you may need to configure the setting for your wireless card. The SSID should be set to ethostream, WEP should be turned off, and the network type should be set to infrastructure. Library staff cannot provide technical assistance. If you are having trouble connecting, please consult your wireless card instructions for technical help or contact Ethostream (www.ethostream.com, telephone 877.282.2519).

Wireless Internet access is made possible in part through the generosity of former Shorewood resident Tim Brazy and Ethostream, LLC.
