The North Shore Library is currently looking to fill the following positions:

Youth Services Librarian – Part-time
The North Shore Library is seeks a creative & enthusiastic Youth Services Librarian with a passion for learning and collaboration.

This position works under the supervision of the Head of Youth Services. Main duties include developing and implementing a wide variety of children’s, teen, and family programs, collection management (including purchasing, cataloging and weeding), and the delivery of reference and reader’s advisory services to patrons of all ages.

This part time position is 20 – 25 hours per week. Main hours are on the Children’s Reference desk, with occasional hours at the adult reference desk. This position includes regular evening and weekend hours.

Requirements
MLIS degree or student working toward this degree who is close to graduation. Experience working with children is preferred.

Hours
This position is 20 - 25 hours per week and includes regular evening and weekend hours. Flexibility in scheduling is occasionally needed for program coverage.

Wage
Salary: $25.91 per hour.
