Overview of the New Library Fundraising Effort

Strong libraries support strong towns, and we firmly believe that the combined effort to build a new North Shore Library will further strengthen the bonds between the villages of Bayside, Fox Point, Glendale, and River Hills. Our community.

We have begun the quiet phase of a capital campaign amongst our community, with a goal to raise $12 million (or more) to build and furnish the new library facility.

Currently, $4 million has been contributed by a generous donor toward our $12 million goal, and we hope to raise the remaining $8 million in the coming months to complete this project. To meet the needs of our community, the future home of the North Shore Library will be more than 50% larger than our current facility. We have hired award-winning architectural firm, Rinka Architects, to design the library.

Community involvement and feedback from the Library Board of Directors will shape the new North Shore Library’s design and help to assure it will best meet the needs of the residents well into the future.
