Chargers

Phone charger kits are available for patron use in the library. The kits contain 1 USB wall charger containing 2 USB ports and 1 multi-charging cable with 2 lightning connectors, 1 Micro USB connector, and 1 Type-C connector.

Phone charger kits are available for patron use in the library. Patrons can borrow a phone charger at the adult reference desk with a valid library card with fines fewer than $5.00. Patrons without a valid library card can borrow a charger with a photo ID or credit card. Phone chargers should not leave the library building and should be returned to the adult reference desk when patrons are finished. Phone charger kits are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and cannot be placed on hold. Replacement fee for loss or damage to phone charger kits is $30.00.

Computers

The library offers free WiFi and computer access to patrons residing in Milwaukee County with a valid library card with fines fewer than $10.00. Guest passes are available for patrons residing outside of Milwaukee County with a valid photo ID. Computer sessions are 2 hours and may be extended upon request.

Digitization Kits

The library offers access to digitization kits for in-library use, no library card needed. Appointments can be made 1 week in advance for 2 hour sessions.

VHS to DVD
Schedule a VHS to DVD Appointment
Digitize your VHS tapes with the library’s VHS to DVD kit. The library offers an in-house VHS to DVD kit and a second kit available for checkout with a library card in good standing. The circulating kit must be checked out and returned at the Circulation Desk during open hours and should not be returned in the book drop. The circulating kit is not holdable through the library’s online catalog, but patrons can request the kit by calling the library.

Epson Scanner
Schedule a Scanner Appointment
Scan photos, film, etc. with the Epson Scanner kit. This kit is only available for in-house use.

Headphones

Headphones are available for patron use in the library. These over-the-ear headphones are equipped with a detachable spring cable with 3.5mm and 6.35mm plugs on each end, adjustable rotating ear cups, a 1.5m standard cable with mic and 2m-3m coiled cable, and share port technology.

Patrons can borrow a pair of headphones at the adult reference desk with a valid library card with fines fewer than $5.00. Patrons without a valid library card can borrow headphones with a photo ID or credit card. Headphones should not leave the library building and should be returned to the adult reference desk when patrons are finished. Staff will sanitize headphones between uses. Headphones are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and cannot be placed on hold. Replacement fee for loss or damage to headphones is $42.00.
