Find materials held in the MPL Central Library's Rare Books Room.
Rarities include materials of special value, such as signed first editions, materials published before 1868, unique items such as artists' books (works of art in the form of books) and rare items of local significance. A non-specific search will return a maximum of 4,000 records, though the collection is much larger than that.
Rarities are viewed by appointment only in the Richard Krug Rare Books Room of the Central Library. All requests and appointments are scheduled here. Same day access cannot be guaranteed.
